Kunal Bahl, the co-founder of e-commerce giant Snapdeal, is set to join the panel of judges on the upcoming season of Shark Tank India (Season 4). The popular reality show, wherein entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to successful investors, has started its shooting for its fourth season.
While the official premiere date is yet to be announced, there is buzz around who will be on the panel of judges. Kunal Bahl, one of the leading figures in India’s startup ecosystem, is confirmed as one of the new “Sharks” for the show.
The announcement was made via social media, where the show’s producers highlighted Kunal’s impressive entrepreneurial journey. They said, “Introducing our newest Shark. Apart from Kunal Bahl, the judging panel is expected to include several well-known business figures, like Ritesh Agarwal, founder of OYO, Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, Peyush Bansal, founder of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal, founder of People Group
As per media reports, Kunal Bahl’s estimated net worth is over INR 2,000 crore (approximately USD 240 million). Born on January 1, 1984, in Delhi, Kunal Bahl did his early education at Delhi Public School (DPS), R.K. Puram. He later pursued higher studies at the prestigious Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, earning two bachelor’s degrees—one from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and another from The Wharton School in Operations and Data Management.
Additionally, Bahl completed an Executive Marketing Program from the Kellogg School of Management to further enhance his business.
Kunal Bahl co-founded Snapdeal in 2010, marking the start of his professional career. The company, which started as a daily deals platform, later entered into a full-fledged e-commerce marketplace. In 2022, Snapdeal underwent a corporate rebranding and changed its name to AceVector, which also includes other brands like Unicommerce and Stellaro Brands.
Besides his business ventures, Kunal has also served as the Chair of the National Committee at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for a time.
