Ratan Tata, the legendary industrialist and former chairman of Tata Group, left behind an estate valued at Rs 10,000 crore. In his will, Tata made provisions for those closest to him, including loyal colleagues and companions who had supported him throughout his life. These included Shantanu Naidu, his butler Subbiah, and his beloved German Shepherd, Tito, ensuring they were well taken care of after his passing.

Shantanu Naidu: A Close Associate 

Shantanu Naidu, a close confidant of Ratan Tata, was one of the key beneficiaries of Tata’s will. Naidu, who had established the company Goodfellows to provide companionship to the elderly, was supported by Tata in this endeavor. Tata funded Naidu’s company and even waived his international tuition fees when Naidu studied abroad.

He served Tata for over three decades, Subbiah was more than just a servant; he was a trusted companion who had been by Tata’s side during significant moments of his life. Subbiah was rewarded with a share of Tata’s fortune, as the industrialist recognized the invaluable role he had played.
