New Delhi: In a major strategic move, Reliance Consumer Product Limited, the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, is all set to ramp up its all-India distribution aggressively. According to a Businessline report, the company will be ending the FY25 with its products available across one million outlets. It is important to note that this comes at a time when two of the company’s brands, Independence and Campa, have crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark each, and some other portfolio brands are close to scaling up to Rs 100 crore mark.

Also, RCPL aims to expand its presence in international markets, the report added. Those close to the development have said that the company plans to ramp up distribution to about 5-6 million over the next three years, strengthening its presence as a pan-India player.

Reliance Consumer Product Limited is also eyeing strengthening its presence in modern trade and other alternate channels such as airlines and railways.

While Independence and Campa have rapidly scaled up to Rs 1,000 crore each in retail sales, a source familiar with the matter revealed that the company now has a portfolio of 7-8 brands, each nearing the Rs 100 crore mark in scale.

The company has been focusing on spreading its base across different categories either through brands built from scratch, such as Independence, or through low-cost acquisitions that are being scaled up organically.

RCPL has acquired a slew of brands across categories. This includes beverage brand Campa, Ravalgaon Sugar Confectionery’s brands including Coffee Break and Paan Pasand and Lotus Chocolates among others. More recently, it acquired SIL, a brand for sauces and condiments afrnd Velvette.

In December, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) announced that Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) recorded a revenue of ₹8,000 crore in the first nine months of FY25. According to sources, the company is expected to close FY25 with revenues exceeding Rs 10,000 crore. An industry executive stated that RCPL aims to establish itself as a multinational consumer products company, with plans to expand into international markets while prioritizing quality products at affordable prices.
