Mukesh Ambani has introduced new Jio recharge plans, that are aimed to attract users who shifted to BSNL in large numbers after mobile tariffs were raised by a significant margin earlier in July this year.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is the largest telecom provider in India, and for good reason as it offers some of the cheapest tariff plans to users compared to other service providers. However, state-owned BSNL, which has witnessed a resurgence of late, is now posing stiff competition to Jio with its competitive pricing, resulting in another price war in the telecom sector.

Now, to counter BSNL’s surging user base, Jio has introduced another cheap tariff plan, offering unlimited calling, 2 GB of high-speed data with no daily cap (unlimited at 64 kbps post exhaustion), along with 300 free SMS and access to Jio’s supplementary services like JioCloud, JioCinema, and JioTV for a month. All this at just Rs 173, compared to competitors prices for similar plans, which are priced from Rs 180 to Rs 200.

Additionally, Jio also a Rs 1,899 plan, which offers similar benefits to the Rs 173 plan but has a validity of 336 days. Jio’s competitively priced yearly plan offers unlimited calling, 24GB of high-speed data with no daily cap, free nationwide roaming, and 3600 free SMS, along with access to Jio’s supplementary services like JioCloud, JioCinema, and JioTV for 11 months.
