Mukesh Ambani has moved to the 15th position in the list of the richest people in the world, leaving behind Jim Walton and Rob Walton of Walmart. He is now close to beating Jack Ma of Alibaba, according to Bloomberg Billionaire index.

The Bloomberg index ranks the 500 richest people in the world, which is updated every day in New York.

Mukesh Ambani’s net worth was at Rs 2.75 lakh crore as on 19 June, while net-worth of Jack Ma is at Rs 3.11 lakh crore, who is on the fourteenth number.

His wealth has increased following a jump in the stock of Reliance India. Within two days his wealth has jumped by Rs 9400 crore.

With his wealth, Mukesh Ambani can now buy 56.6 crore barrel of crude oil. He can also turn his wealth into 1 crore gram of gold. Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest person. He has the net-worth of $144.8 billion. Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates has the worth of $92.8 billion.

Oprah Winfrey has also been featured in the list of 500 richest people. She stands at the 483 position and has wealth of Rs 273.36 crore.

Mark Zuckerberg, 34, co-founder of Facebook, has come very close to crossing the wealth of Warren Buffett who is the world’s third-richest person.

Zuckerberg has a net worth of $81.6 billion, which has jumped $8.8 billion this year. The stock touched the low of $152.22 on March 27 closing at $202.

Zuckerberg has promised to give away 99 per cent of his Facebook stock to charity. He has promised to give the majority of his wealth to the charity initiative started by his wife.

Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg has now net worth value $1.8 billion, and Chief Technology Officer Michael Schroepfer worth is valued at $225 million.
