As per a report carried by Mid day, passenger on the route are demanding an upgrade of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express which is currently running on eight-coach formation to a 16 or 20-coach rake. As per the passengers, the demand for the trains on the Mumbai Konkan Goa corridor is rising day by day and the upgrade of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai Konkan Goa corridor.

Moreover, the report also mentions that the recent transfer of ownership and primary maintenance of the Jalna-Mumbai and Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat services to the Nanded Division has freed up two maintenance slots, due to which the augmentation of the train is operationally feasible.
