New Delhi: In a major move, Infosys, the country’s second-largest IT company, has handed over the responsibility of its new talent hunt (Infosys Hiring) to its employees amid layoffs at the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). According to the reports, the Narayana Murthy-led company has directed its staff to refer their acquaintances for the open positions. Infosys has also said that if a candidate recommended by an employee gets selected, the employee will receive a cash reward ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000.

In an internal mail, the company mentioned that employees will receive Rs 10,000 for Level 3 recruitment, Rs 25,000 for Level 4, Rs 35,000 for Level 5, and Rs 50,000 for Level 6. These recruitments are being carried out in departments such as Engineering, Quality Engineering, Strategic Technology Group, and Enterprise Application Services.

An Infosys employee said, “For the first time, several emails have come in continuously, asking for referrals for such a large number of vacant positions.” However, it is important to note that Infosys has declined to make any official comment, saying that it is currently in a ‘silent period.’

Here are some of the key details:

  • The company is conducting these recruitments for development centers located in Delhi-NCR, Pune, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Mysuru, Chandigarh, and Hubballi.
  • The company has sought referrals for positions such as Blockchain Developer, Data Scientist, Java Developer, Network Designer, Voice over IP Expert, and Aerospace Engineer.
  • Candidates must hold a BE, ME, MCA, or MSc degree and should not have participated in any Infosys recruitment process in the past six months.
  • The company has recently invited senior employees to be part of the campus interview panel to recruit Digital Specialist Engineers from colleges.
  • This entire campaign began just before the company’s Q2 FY26 results (October 16).
