India-UK Trade Deal: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is on an India visit. It is a crucial visit amid a time of uncertainty in the economy due to US tariffs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met his British counterpart in Mumbai. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trade and strategic cooperation between India and the UK, signing a series of agreements. While addressing business leaders at an event, Starmer stated that the trade partnership between the countries is crucial. He said the agreement is expected to generate trade worth 25.5 billion pounds between India and the UK, highlighting that it is Britain’s largest trade mission to date.
