Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella or Ajay Bangaare are some of the famous Indian origin people at the top leadership roles in the USA. Sundar Pichai is leading the world’s tech giant Google and Alphabet, whereas Satya Nadella is leading, world’s biggest IT company ‘Microsoft’. Still they are not part of the top 10 highly paid CEOs in USAs. Two other two Indian-origin CEOs, Nikesh Arora of Palo Alto Networks and Yamini Rangan of HubSpot have been included in the list of top-paid Indian-origin CEOs.
56-year-old Nikesh Arora is at the 10th position on the list of top 10 CEOs based on their Compensation Actually Paid (CAP) while 47-year-old Yamini Rangan is at the eighth place on the list of the Top 10 highest-paid female CEOs in the US.
Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, has topped the list as the highest-paid CEO with an estimated annual compensation of $1.4 billion. Other prominent names like Alexander Karp of Palantir Technologies ($1.1 billion), Airbnb’s Brian Chesky ($303.5 million), and Oracle’s Safra Catz ($304.1 million).
Yamini Rangan is CEO at HubSpot. Prior to becoming CEO, Yamini worked as HubSpot’s first-ever chief customer officer, she was looking after the marketing, sales, and service teams.
Yamini Rangan Education: She studied Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University in Coimbatore & later did a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Yamini Rangan Salary: As per the report by TOI, Yamini Rangan earned a disclosed compensation of $25.88 million in the fiscal year 2023.
Nikesh Arora Education: Nikesh Arora studied at Delhi’s Air Force Public School. He did electrical engineering from the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University.
He also holds an M.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, an M.S. in finance from Boston College and a B.Tech.
Nikesh Arora Salary: In the year 2023, the disclosed total compensation of Arora was over $151.4 million and his compensation actually paid was over $266.4 million, according to the TOI report.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen was at the number 11 spot with a $44.93 million salary package and Google CEO Sundar Pichai is earning $8.80 million in 2023, according to the previous report of TOI.
According to a proxy statement filing before the Securities Exchange Commission in 2023, Microsoft had said that Nadella received a total annual compensation of $48 million, which was less than the 2022 salary of around $55 million.
