The face unlock feature of OnePlus 6 may not be so reliable. A person on Twitter has shown how a phone could be unlocked using a simple photo. On Twitter a person with a handle @rikvduijn has shared a video showing how his friend used a photo with the OnePlus 6 to unlock the phone. OnePlus in its statement said, “We designed Face Unlock around convenience, and while we took corresponding measures to optimise its security we always recommended you use a password/PIN/fingerprint for security. For this reason, Face Unlock is not enabled for any secure apps such as banking or payments. We’re constantly working to improve all of our technology, including Face Unlock.”

Going by the incident, it is always good to use the pattern or pin to unlock your phone, as biometric passwords are not completely foolproof.

OnePlus 6 is known for offering premium phones at most affordable prices.  The most-awaited android phone recently got launched in Mumbai after months of anticipation. The phone is available in Mirror Black finish and Midnight Black colours. Silk White colour will be available from June 5.

One Plus 6 is available in India at Rs 34,999 for 6GB RAM+64GB storage version. For 8GB RAM + 128GB variant it is available at Rs 39,999. The Marvel Avengers variant is available at Rs 44,999 .
