Petrol Prices Slashed in Gurugram, Lucknow, Patna: Check Latest Fuel Rates in Your City Today
Petrol in Noida became costlier by 6 paise to Rs 96.65, diesel became costlier by 6 paise and is available at Rs 89.82 per litre.
New Delhi: Amid the festive season, various cities across the country witnessed a sharp decline in petrol prices on Wednesday. While petrol prices came down in many cities, only Noida witnessed a hike in fuel prices. The development comes at a time when there is a huge decline in the price of crude oil at the international level. However, its effect was not felt mush on the prices of petrol and diesel in the domestic market.
Petrol Cheaper in These Cities
Petrol became cheaper by 66 paise at Rs 96.66, diesel by 65 paise at Rs 89.86 per litre in Prayagraj. Petrol has become cheaper by 27 paise at Rs 98.47, diesel became cheaper by 25 paise at Rs 88.79 per litre in Amritsar.
Petrol also became cheaper by 28 paise at Rs 96.71, diesel became cheaper by 27 paise at Rs 89.59 per litre In Gurugram. In Lucknow also, petrol became cheaper by 10 paise at Rs 96.47, diesel by 10 paise at Rs 89.66 per litre. Petrol became cheaper by 30 paise at Rs 107.24, diesel became cheaper by 28 paise at Rs 94.04 per litre in Patna.
However, in Noida, petrol became costlier by 6 paise to Rs 96.65, diesel became costlier by 6 paise and is available at Rs 89.82 per litre.
Petrol Price in Various Cities
Currently, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 a litre and diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 a litre. Petrol in Mumbai is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. Petrol is available at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per litre in Chennai.
It should be noted that the oil marketing companies (OMCs) in the country such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum determine petrol and diesel prices on daily basis and the fuel and rates are determined in accordance with the price of crude oil throughout the world.
Why Fuel Prices Change Daily?
The fuel prices, whether new or unchanged, are announced at 6 AM daily and these fuel prices, however, vary from state to state depending on various factors such as Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, local taxes, etc.

Indian Oil customers can get information by sending RSP and their city code to 9224992249 and BPCL customers can get information by sending an SMS to 9223112222 by typing RSP and their city code. HPCL consumers can know the price by sending HPPrice and their city code to 9222201122.
