PM Kisan 20th Installment to be released today? Who will get it and how to check PM-Kisan beneficiary status

Good news for PM Kisan beneficiaries! The next payment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is being released today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will send the money during his visit to Varanasi, which is also his parliamentary seat. As per the official information, the 20th installment of the scheme will be given today, August 2, 2025. Around Rs. 20,500 crore will be sent to the bank accounts of 9.7 crore farmers.

What is PM Kisan?

PM-Kisan is a government scheme started in 2019 to help small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers get Rs. 6,000 every year in three parts, Rs. 2,000 every four months. The money goes directly into their bank accounts to provide them financial support for farming and daily needs.

So far, farmers have received 19 installments and a total of Rs. 3.69 lakh crore has been transferred to their accounts.

Today, eligible farmers will get the 20th installment of Rs. 2,000 directly in their bank accounts.

Only these farmers will get PM Kisan’s 20th installment

To receive the 20th installment of Rs. 2,000 under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible farmers must complete their eKYC. If eKYC is not done, the money will not be credited to their account.

How to complete eKYC:

• Go to the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
• Click on the “e-KYC” option.
• Enter your Aadhaar number.
• Submit the OTP received on your mobile.
• Complete the verification process.

Who can get PM-Kisan benefits?

To get money under this scheme, farmers must meet the following conditions:

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Must own farming land with proper land records.
• Aadhaar number must be linked to their bank account.
• eKYC must be completed.

Who is not eligible?

• Farmers who pay income tax.
• Those receiving government pensions.
• Government or public sector employees.

Only those who meet all the rules and have completed eKYC will receive the 20th installment.

Ways to complete eKYC for PM-Kisan

Farmers can choose from three easy methods to complete their eKYC:

OTP-Based eKYC

• Available on the PM-Kisan website and mobile app.
• You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number to verify your identity.

Biometric-Based eKYC

• Go to your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK).
• Your fingerprint or thumbprint will be used to verify your identity.

Face Authentication eKYC

• Use the PM-Kisan Mobile App.
• It lets you complete KYC by scanning your face.
• This method is quick and is already used by millions of farmers.

How to check PM-Kisan beneficiary status

If you want to know whether your name is on the PM-Kisan beneficiary list and check your payment status, follow these steps:

1. Go to the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
2. Click on “Beneficiary Status” on the homepage.
3. You will be asked to enter either your Aadhaar Number or Bank Account Number.
4. Click on “Get Data”.
5. Your details will appear on the screen.
6. You will also see the status of your Rs. 2,000 installment – whether it has been sent, is pending, or on hold.
