Mumbai, July 12: After virtually decimating competition in the mobile internet data sector, Reliance Jio is all to make a stupendous foray into broadband too and the Preview Offer has reportedly been leaked, media reports suggested on Wednesday. Jio’s broadband service that has been named JioFiber, will reportedly offer 100GB of data per month at a speed of 100 Mbps, for a period of three months, as a starting offer for the service that will be launched around Diwali this year.

According to a report in the Indian Express on Wednesday, Reliance JioFiber’s Preview Offer is expected to make yet another dent in its telecom competition’s revenues. The report says that after the 100GB monthly data is exhausted, the internet speed with reduce to 1 Mbps. It also said that Reliance will ask for a seucrity deposit of Rs 4,500 from those who want to subscribe to its JioFiber broadband service, but that this amount is refundable. The service can be used to stream videos, movies and other multimedia content in 4K resolution, added the report.

Moreover, users will be able to connect multiple devices to Reliance JioFiber, to enjoy high fiber internet speeds. The offer was posted on the website “The broadband services offered by Reliance Jio will also offer host of services to the consumers like it did for mobile data”, stated the website, adding, “The broadband service is believed to deliver a minimum of 100Mbps for the home broadband consumers at affordable rates.” The site has also listed a registration page, where customers can either register for JioFiber services or enhance Jio coverage in their building, said the IE report.

An earlier report about Reliance JioFiber had said that the review offer subscription will start from Rs 500 for 100GB data. In May, Reliance Jio’s official Twitter handle had tweeted out, saying that the Reliance Jio Preview Offer is being currently offered in some cities on a trial basis.
