Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani has added a luxurious Boeing 737-Max 8 BBJ business jet, worth about Rs. 1,000 crore, to his fleet. The jet can fly non-stop to London and reach the US or Canada with just one refueling stop. The aircraft made its first long trip recently, flying 6,300 km from Basel, Switzerland, and landing at Ahmedabad airport at 10 am on Wednesday, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. It was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute.

Interestingly, Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani had also purchased a plane from the same Boeing 737-Max series in August 2024. While the 737-Max is commonly used by airlines such as Akasa, Air India Express, and SpiceJet for commercial flights, it is now becoming a popular choice among industrialists for personal and business travel.

Adani’s fleet expands to 10 business jets

Adani Group’s Karnavati Aviation now operates a fleet of 10 business jets, with the newly acquired Boeing 737 being the most expensive aircraft in the collection, bhaskarenglish.in reported quoting sources.

The fleet also includes jets from Canadian, Brazilian, and Swiss manufacturers, showcasing a mix of luxury and range options. At the same time, Adani has sold three older jets from the B-200, Hawker, and Challenger series to upgrade his lineup.

It includes a private suite bedroom, a luxury bathroom, a premium lounge, and a fully equipped conference room — offering the comfort of a five-star hotel at 35,000 feet. The interior work took two years to complete, making this jet one of the most exclusive business aircraft in the country.
