Anil Ambani and Mukesh Ambani are two of the most well-known businessmen in India. They are the sons of renowned industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani, who built the Reliance empire from scratch and scaled the company into one of the largest and most valuable business groups in India.
Even with a similar legacy, the two brothers have experienced vastly different journeys through the business world. Mukesh Ambani is the Chairman and Managing Director of RIL. Mukesh Ambani also led the development and implementation of a pan-India organized retail network for Reliance, spanning multiple formats and supply-chain infrastructure.
Conversely, Anil Ambani, the younger son of Dhirubhai Ambani, is the founder of the Reliance Group. Similar to his elder brother Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia, Anil Ambani’s home, which is called ‘Abode,’ is also a very luxurious mansion.
As per the Punjab Kesari report, the 17-story building includes a helipad, an open swimming pool, a terrace garden, a gym, and several garages. From the top floor, the views of Mumbai are breathtaking. Spread across 16,000 square feet, this beautiful residence is reportedly worth Rs 5000 crore. Anil Ambani lives here with his wife Tina and their family. Mukesh Ambani owns Antilia, which is worth Rs 15000 crore.
According to the PunjabKesari report, Anil Ambani reportedly bought his wife, Tina Ambani, a luxury yacht worth Rs 400 crore for her birthday. The yacht, called ‘Tian’, is taken from the first two letters of Tina and Anil’s names. They also own a Bombardier Global Express XRS private jet, which is worth Rs 311 crore. In addition, they have plenty of luxury cars in their garage.
Mukesh Ambani serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries. He is the richest man in India. His overall wealth is approximately $109.4 billion as per Forbes. He secured the 18th position in the Forbes World’s Billionaires List, The Richest In 2025. According to the report, the Ambani family alone makes up around 12% of India’s GDP.
Anil Ambani’s financial story has had its highs and lows. He was atop wealth in 2008, counted among the richest in the world, with a net worth of $42 billion (roughly Rs 350 crore). But by February 2020, he was facing bankruptcy. Various reports described the dire situation, some saying his total liabilities and legal issues left him with no net worth. At the end of 2020, his company, Reliance Capital, was already swamped in towering debts surpassing Rs 20,000 crore. As per various media reports, Anil Ambani has a current net worth pegged at around $530 million.
