SAP CTO Juergen Muller faces sexual harassment probe: Here’s what the company has to say

SAP CTO Juergen Muller faces sexual harassment probe: Here's what the company has to say

A probe has been initiated against SAP SE’s CTO Juergen Muller by the German prosecutors in connection with alleged sexual harassment case. Mueller has already stepped down from the post of CTO. He accepted his wrongdoing and made a statement in this regard which was issued by the SAP.  

The company did not divulge much about what exactly happened at the event but in a statement Muller confirmed that he is leaving the company following the incident at an event.  

“I want to address an incident at a past company event where my behaviour was inappropriate. I regret being inconsiderate and sincerely apologise to everyone affected. I recognize my behaviour at that moment did not reflect our values at SAP. I take full responsibility and believe stepping down is best for the company. I wish the team continued success, ” Muller said in a statement. 

SAP will provide full cooperation in the probe, the company said in a released statement to Bloomberg.

Muller had joined the company in 2013 and became the company’s CTO in 2019. The company had extended his contract in April till the end of 2027. 

In the month of August, chief marketing officer Julia White and chief revenue officer Scott Russell already left SAP.
