US market had shown negative performance at the end of the day on Monday, The S&P 500 declined 0.32 per cent to 5,616.84 points, the Nasdaq fell 0.85 per cent to 17,725.77 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.16 per cent to 41,240.52 points.
