Tata Consumer Products Q1 Results: The Tata group’s FMCG major Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL) is slated to release its Q1 results today. Zee Business research desk team has made predictions over companies performance for the quarter 1 for FY 25. In April this year, Tata Consumer Products reported a 26.69 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 212.26 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. According to the research, the company may post good quarterly results along with consolidated revenue slightly higher by 17 per cent on-year to Rs 4,390 crore as compared to Rs 3,741 crore posted in the same period last year. Companies EBITDA may shift higher by 22 per cent on-year to Rs 665 crore versus Rs 545 crore.
According to the Zee Business Desk research team, profit may remain steady up to Rs 338 crore as interest cost increases and acquisition cost will weigh. The margin at the company is expected to rise by 40 bps from 14.6 per cent in Q1FY24 to 15 per cent in the recently concluded quarter.
The desk estimates the company’s domestic tea business to clock 2 per cent volume growth, whereas its India food business is seen to register 13.5 percent on-year growth during the review period. Further, the company’s pulses business labelled under the Sampann brand is seen to register 35 per cent growth.
Prior to the announcement of the quarterly results, shares of the company traded with a cut of over 1 per cent at Rs 1,200.35 apiece on the BSE. The company’s stock has surged by 42 per cent in the last 1 year.
In April, Tata Consumer Products reported a 26.69 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 212.26 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024, impacted by exceptional items related to costs of amalgamation, acquisitions, asset write-downs and fair value loss on financial instruments.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 289.56 crore in the same period a year ago, Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) said in a regulatory filing.
Consolidated revenue from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 3,926.94 crore as against Rs 3,618.73 crore, it added.
