Tata Sierra: Tata Motors has relaunched its iconic model but with all the modern updates. The company has termed the launch as the rebirth of a legend. The SUV was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo after a series of its design teasers. Now, the SUV has been launched but it sports a retro-inspired design from the 90s.
Tata Sierra: Price And Variants
The Tata Motors has launched the Tata Sierra with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 11.49 lakh. Notably, the vehicle's booking will open from December 16, and the deliveries will be expected from January 15, 2026.
The SUV has been launched with several Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) options and yes, it also has an electric version that will follow later. Tata has launched the vehicle with both diesel options for the car.
People can choose their favourite Tata Sierra from six colour variants. It is available in colours like -Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Andaman Adventure.
Tata Sierra: Performance
The newly launched car is loaded with 1.5 litre TGDi Hyperion turbo-petrol engine, which is capable of generating a power and torque of 170 PS and 280 nm.
Sierra is also available in two more engines - 1.5 litre TGDi NA engine and 1.5 litre Kryo.
The Tata Motors has launched the car with jet diesel engine as well. The SUV has both options - a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Tata Sierra: Powertrain
Talking about its powertrain, the car is a front-wheel drive. The company has built its electric model on Tata's acti.ev platform.

As per Tata Motors PV's MD & CEO Shailesh Chandra, "Premiumisation is the heart of the Sierra experience."
Sierra comes with a panoramic sunroof, which is similar to the original Sierra's glasshouse design. Its front seats are powered and ventilated and comes with dual-zone automatic climate control.
Tata Sierra: Airbags
Talking about the car's safety, it comes with six airbags, seatbelt anchor pre-tensioners, and Isofix tethers. The company, for the first time, has performed a real-life simulation of the car colliding with another Sierra.
SIERRA is loaded with a Dolby Atmos sound system for the best sound experience. It also has an inbuilt 5G connectivity which is first for any ICE car in the country.
