The price of a private jet is mostly into hundreds of crores of rupees. Besides the initial cost, aviation fuel is more expensive than regular fuel. It also adds to the cost of owning and flying a private jet. Despite this, many Indian politicians, actors, and businessmen own private jets, showcasing their financial prowess.

The title of India’s first private jet owner goes to Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. He was known for his lavish lifestyle, he used to possess an impressive collection of diamond necklaces and Rolls-Royce cars.
Maharaja Bhupinder Singh purchased India’s first private jet in 1910. He acquired the plane from Britain, choosing a Sommer bi-plane constructed of wood and steel, marking a historic moment in India’s aviation history.
