After the success of its previous three seasons, Shark Tank India is all set to release its fourth season. To gain viewers’ attention, the latest promo of STI features the owners of a company that appeared in the first season and has since seen its value skyrocket, earning 40x returns. The company, Proxgy, successfully secured a Rs 1 crore investment from the sharks Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal in 2021. It is now valued at an impressive Rs 400 crore, marking a significant story of growth.
Proxgy was co-founded by Pulkit Ahuja and Inderjit Singh Makkar. They appeared in the first season of the Shark Tank India as a technology-driven company offering innovative solutions. Both the founders showcased their products to sharks, which included voice boxes for surveillance, cameras, code scanners, and KYC verification. Despite getting a ‘No’ from some judges they managed to strike a deal with Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal.
The initial goal was to gather Rs 35 lakh, offering a 1 percent stake in their venture. However, after negotiations, Ashneer and Peyush resolved to put forward Rs 1 crore, acquiring a 10 percent ownership stake. This valued the enterprise at a substantial Rs 10 crore. Pulkit emphasized the importance of this collaboration for their business’s expansion, stating, “Our today’s identity has been shaped by Shark Tank,” in a marketing statement.
In just three years, Proxgy has made remarkable groeth by hitting a valuation of Rs 400 crore. While the advertising materials are quick to underline this significant achievement, it leaves us wondering whether Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal are still part of the thriving enterprise.
Like previous seasons, the fourth season promises to bring more inspiring stories. The first show of the season is set to premiere on January 6 on SonyLIV. The panel of judges includes Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, and Anupam Mittal, and new additions like Kunal Bahl, Ritesh Agarwal, and Azhar Iqubal.
Sadly, Ashneer Grover will not return in the latest season of the Shark Tank India.
