The 30-share BSE Sensex closed higher by 99.56 points or 0.12 per cent at 81,455.40 — its all-time closing high — with 16 of its components advancing and 14 ending lower. The index opened higher and jumped 459.43 points or 0.56 per cent to hit an intra-day high of 81,815.27.

The NSE Nifty edged up 21.20 points or 0.09 per cent to settle at an all-time closing high of 24,857.30. During the day, it surged 135.65 points or 0.54 per cent to 24,971.75. The index hit a low of 24,798.65.

Stocks to be in focus today, according to Zee Business Experts 

  1. Tata Consumer Products Stock: Company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 314 crore with 16 per cent growth in revenue to Rs 4352 crore for the quarter ended June 30. 
  2. Quarterly Results Stocks: Around 115 companies are scheduled to report their financial results including Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel, Tata Investments, Teamlease, Mankind Pharma, BHEL, Birlasoft, Indus Towers, and RITES
  3. Dividend Stocks: Around 20 stocks set to trade ex-dividend or ex-bonus including BATA INDIA, CRISIL LTD, DLF
  4. Vedanta Stock: Company secured approval from 75% of its secured creditors to proceed with obtaining clearance from stock exchanges. So they can file its demerger scheme with the NCLT as planned.
  5. Adani Energy Stock: Adani Energy Solutions launched a qualified institutional placement (QIP) with a floor price of Rs 1,027.1 per share.
  6. Hindalco Stock: Hindalco Industries is gearing up to invest about $7 billion in capital expenditure over the next three to five years to support its growth initiatives.
  7. Mindspace Business Parks Stock: Mindspace Business Parks REIT plans to invest over Rs 3,500 crore for the development of new office properties.
  8. Punjab Housing Finance Stock: Carlyle Group divested a 12.8% stake in Punjab Housing Finance for Rs 2,578 crore, with an average price of Rs 775.1 per share through the transaction.
  9. Mahindra and Mahindra Finance Stock: Company board approved raising funds via bonds, aiming to secure up to Rs 1,500 crore.
  10. South Indian Bank Stock: Company board approved to raise up to Rs 750 crore through various means, including a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP).
  11. Infosys Stock: Infosys announced its collaboration with TDC Net, a Danish digital infrastructure and connectivity provider.
