Investors’ wealth soared Rs 7.10 lakh crore on Friday following a sharp rally in the equity market where the BSE Sensex jumped 1,292.92 points.
The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 1,292.92 points or 1.62 per cent to 81,332.72. During the day, it soared 1,387.38 points or 1.73 per cent to 81,427.18.
Thanks to the optimistic trend, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rallied by Rs 7,10,235.45 crore to hit an all-time high of Rs 4,56,92,671.33 crore (USD 5.46 trillion).

UltraTech Cement/ India Cements Stock: UltraTech Cement board approved the acquisition of India Cements. The company will acquire a total 32.72 per cent stake at Rs 390/sh for Rs 3,954 crore.
MCX Stock: The company reported its Q1 numbers with a net profit for Q1 at Rs 110.9 crore against Rs 87.9 crore a quarter ago.
Punjab National Bank Stock: PNB’s net profit increased by 159 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y), reaching Rs 3,252 crore for Q1 FY 2025 compared to Rs 1,255 crore in the same period last year.
IDFC First Bank Stock: On Saturday the company reported an 11 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 680 crore in the April-June quarter.
BHEL Stock: Company received an order worth Rs 10,000 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation to set up a 2×800 MW thermal power station at Koderma, Jharkhand.
Maruti Suzuki India Stock: The automobile company received a final assessment order with a total tax demand (including interest) of Rs 779.2 crore.
City Union Bank Stock: City Union Bank’s Board approved raising Rs 500 crore through QIP.
Glenmark Life Sciences Stock: The Gujarat Pollution Control Board issued a closure notice to the company’s Ankleshwar facility.
Hindustan Zinc Stock: The company received an order from the Assessment Unit, Income Tax Department (NFAC) for the Assessment Year 2013-14, demanding Rs 1,884.3 crore on July 25.
Jubilant Pharmova Stock: Income Tax Department for FY20, raised a tax demand of Rs 38.13 crore from companies subsidiary Jubilant Generics.
