Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express: In a significant connectivity boost for the state of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the much-anticipated Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express will begin its inaugural run tomorrow. Bringing together two of India’s most famous heritage cities through a high-speed train, the Indian Railways aims to make travel easier between the spiritual ghats of Varanasi and the historic temples of Khajuraho. Here are all the details you need to know about the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express.
Covering a distance of 469 kilometers in about eight hours, running at an average speed of 58.62 kilometers per hour, the new semi-high-speed service will be operated and maintained by the Northern Railway zone.
The importance of the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express can be highlighted from the fact that the train will make travel faster and more comfortable between Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, a city which is known for its world-famous temples. It has been reported that the the train will operate as an unreserved special, giving passengers a chance to experience the Vande Bharat’s comfort and speed during its inaugural run.
Starting from Varanasi at 8:05 in the morning and reach Khajuraho at 4:25 in the evening, the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express will stop at six stations including Varanasi, Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chitrakutdham, Banda, and Mahoba.
Rs 1,330 for the AC Chair Car (CC)
Rs 2,405 for the Executive Chair Car (EC).
The new service is one of four Vande Bharat trains being launched to improve connectivity across India. For tourists and pilgrims, the train will make travel easier between the spiritual ghats of Varanasi and the historic temples of Khajuraho. Notably, with the launch of the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express train, Indian Railways has added another link between culture, comfort, and modern travel.
