Digit is an insurance startup. It was started by Kamesh Goyal and is backed by Canada-based Fairfax Group. The company says that within two years of its operations, it now has a customer base of five million and it has achieved close to $300 million of annualised premium. Virat and Anushka jointly hold 0.25 per cent of the shares in the company.

Sports celebrity management firm Cornerstone Sports LLP, which looks after Kohli’s business interests, also invested Rs 1 crore in the company, said reports. The post-money valuation of the company stood at $870 million. Kohli has backed the London-based social media startup Sport Convo, an app that was launched to bridge the gap between sports stars and fans.
