One of world’s richest woman, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers net worth fell on Friday as her shares in cosmetics company L’Oreal saw its worst decline. The wealth of Bettencourt Meyers and her family fell by $6.9 billion to $91.7 billion last week according to the Forbes list.
Bettencourt Meyers wealth comes from her stake in the L’Oreal. She is now the 20th richest person in the world. As per latest list update it fell to $87 billion.
Gautam Adani is at 22nd position in world’s richest person’s list with net worth of $66.9 billion. Mukesh Ambani is at 16th in richest people’s list with $107.4 billion.
Bettencourt Meyers is the heir to the L’Oréal empire and considered as one of the richest women in the world. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers inherited her wealth in 2017 after the passing of her mother, Liliane Bettencourt.
Her relationship with her mother was not that great, but she was the sole heir to the L’Oréal business. It is valued at $268 billion.
As vice-chair of L’Oréal’s board, Bettencourt Meyers handles her family’s stake in the company, which is more than 35%. Her two sons, Jean-Victor Meyers and Nicolas Meyers, are also the directors in the company. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers net worth according to Forbes is $87 billion which is much lesser than Mukesh Ambani.
