Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has emerged as India's second-largest self-made entrepreneur, with his company's valuation soaring by 190% to reach Rs 2,51,900 crore, as per Hurun India.

New Delhi: Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has emerged as India’s second-largest self-made entrepreneur, with his company’s valuation soaring by 190% to reach Rs 2,51,900 crore, as per Hurun India. He is closely trailed by Swiggy founders Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, who also rank high among India’s top entrepreneurs.

According to Hurun India, Swiggy, which went public earlier this year, has seen a 52% increase in its valuation, now exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore. Meanwhile, Radhakishan Damani, the founder of Avenue Supermarts, continues to lead the IDFC FIRST Private & Hurun India’s Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024 list, with his company’s valuation reaching Rs 3.4 lakh crore, marking a 44% growth from the previous year.

According to the Economic Times report, Deep Kalra and Rajesh Magow, the co-founders of MakeMyTrip, secured the fourth position with a valuation of Rs 99,300 crore.

Next to the list is Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute. According to the Economic Times report, Soi has secured the fourth spot on the list with a valuation of Rs 96,100 crore. Drawing on his extensive experience, Soi raised funds from JP Morgan to launch Radiant Life Care, which successfully turned around Dr. BL Kapur Memorial Hospital in Delhi and Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. In 2019, Radiant Life Care, with backing from KKR, acquired a 49.7% stake in Max Healthcare from Life Healthcare, a South Africa-based company.

Policybazaar founders Yashish Dahiya and Alok Bansal have made it to the top 10 this year, with their company’s valuation reaching Rs 78,600 crore. This marks an impressive 128% growth compared to last year. Their revenue has also seen a 36% rise over the same period, as reported by Hurun.
