A two-year-old kid in Shanghai, China reportedly locked down his mother’s iPhone by repeatedly entering the wrong passwords. But he didn’t lock the phone for the few seconds or minutes. He reportedly got the phone lock for 48 years. “I couldn’t really wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father’s mistake,” the woman reportedly said. The woman whose iPhone got locked said that she often gives her son to use the phone to watch “educational content” and one day she came home to find that her son had entered wrong codes several times and the same led to disabling of iPhone. The woman later took her phone to a Chinese repair shop and the technician told her that he had once seen an iPhone which was locked for over 80 years.
The mobile technician suggested performing a factory reset to remove all the contents of the phone as it is the only way to get it unlock. But the woman has hesitated a to reset her cell phone as she doesn’t want to lose her files and pictures. As per reports, the incident happened in January, but the woman had waited for two months in a hope that it may get resolve on its own. The picture of the iPhone locked for 25,114,984 minutes or 48 years is going viral and the same has sparked debate as well.
While some raised the questions like why she allowed playing some said it would have been wise to store information on some other device as well. If you hand over your iPhone or iPad to an unsupervised toddler then beware as the same thing can happen to your Apple devices as well. So before you hand over your cell take a back up and keep an eye on the devices if they are in kid’s possession.
