The 25-year-old youngster posted around 300 banners across the city saying ‘I am Sorry, Shivde’ hoping the gesture will melt her heart and forgive him.
However, when the banners came into notice by the city police, they arrested him. The police fined him with Rs 72,000 for putting up the banners. Anyhow, his girlfriend Shivde have not forgiven him but instead, now he has to pay a hefty amount.
Pune residents on Friday morning woke up to several posters in an upmarket area in Pimpri Chinchwad. The poster read ‘I am sorry’ in bold print with a heart symbol in red print.
Some Twitterati found it hilarious and some got offended at the gesture of the poor guy.
“We managed to zero in on his friend Vilas Shinde who had helped Khedekar get the flex hoardings printed. Through him, we traced Khedekar who is the brain behind this act,” police official said.
He further added, “The girl was coming on Friday to the area from Mumbai. Under the cover of darkness in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, over 300 hoardings were put up on the route which the girl was likely to take.”
