Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has attained such great levels of superstardom and also acting skills that after every blockbuster project of his, fans wonder: What next, AK? Aamir Khan today tweeted the trailer of his new show around the Satyamev Jayate project, titled Toofan Alaya. The trailer has fans excited with his new moustachioed look and his Maratha swagger, as she speaks Marathi! Aamir Khan had also earlier released a song of the same name, in which his wife Kiran Rao and some Marathi actors were seen.

The actor we must say has never failed to surprise us. Just as we were kind of getting over of his performance as wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the beautiful sports film Dangal, where he played a middle-aged man for the most part, the actor has announced a fun, new project in Toofan Alaya. Recently Aamir Khan was also on the popular Marathi show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya, where he spoke about the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup part 2 and his ambitious water conservation in rural Maharashtra. Aamir Khan today tweeted about his new Marathi project, saying, “Hey guys, doing something major on all the Marathi channels. According to the trailer of Toofan Alaya, there will be three teams on the Marathi show that begins on April 8 and will air on all Marathi channels. The three teams competing on Toofan Alaya will be Vidarbha Yoddha, Marathwada Veer and Paschim Maharashtra Mavale. The Toofan Alaya contestants with the Paschim Maharashtra Mavale team are popular Marathi cinema actors Sai Tamhankar and Sunil Barve. The Vidarbha Yoddha team of Toofan Alaya has actors Bharat Ganeshpure and Anita Date, while the Marathwada Veer team has Girish Kulkarni and Prateeksha Lonkar. Aamir Khan has been learning Marathi for several years now under the guidance of a tutor and also his friend and Rang De Basanti c-actor Atul Kulkarni. In 2016 on his birthday on March 14, Aamir Khan had quoted the Pasaydaan in his exclusive chat with the media and spoke in Marathi a bit. The first Satyamev Jayate Water Cup was announced last year and is a project of the Paani Foundation, run by Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao, his ex-wife Reena Dutta as also Satyajit Bhatkal, the director of Aamir’s chat show Satyamev Jayate after which the initiative has been named. Bhatkal is the chief executive officer of the Satyamev Jayate project while Reena Dutta is the chief operating officer.

Aamir Khan and his Satyamev Jayate Water Cup works in conjunction with the Maharashtra Government and has help from several industrialists and actors. Aamir Khan and his team has since trained hundreds of people in water conservation in severe drought hit Maharashtra, beginning with just three talukas. We hope Toofan Alaya is something more special rather than just entertainment and leads to more help to society.
