India’s Test captain Virat Kohli has shared a special message for Karachi Kings, one of the teams in Pakistan Super League (PSL). During an Intentional Tennis Premier League (ITPL) event, in which Kohli co-owns UAE Royals, the star Indian batsman not only wished Karachi Kings all the best but also congratulated ARY group, who owns the franchise. Kohli said, ”I would like to wish Karachi Kings all the very best and congratulate ARY NEWS for this particular achievement, so all the best guys.”
Earlier this month, ARY group owned Karachi Kings emerged as the most expensive team in the bidding process for teams. Apart from Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalanders, Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi are the other teams participating in the PSL 2016.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the inaugural PSL, which is scheduled to start from February 4 and last till February 23, 2016. Dubai and Sharjah have been selected as the venue for PSL. Also Check- Pakistan Super League (PSL 2016) schedule
Players like Chris Gayle, Keiron Pollard, Kevin Pietersen and Shane Watson will be seen in action alongside top-notch Pakistan cricketers in the inaugural edition of PSL. Pakistan all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik, Gayle, Pietersen and Watson have been selected as the five icon players.
The players will be picked through the draft system. Each franchise has a total budget of $1.2 million for signing players and support staff. Players have been divided into five categories- Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Emerging, and each team will pick a total of 16 players.
