Airtel India and Reliance Jio are rivals in the Telecom industry. To counter Reliance Jio, Airtel launches a new Rs 49 prepaid recharge pack that offers 3GB of 3G/ 4G data with a one-day validity to selected subscribers in selected regions. The latest Airtel offer is clearly an attempt to challenge Reliance Jio’s supremacy in the market. Reliance Jio’s Rs 49 plan offers 1GB data for 28 days while its Rs 52 plan offers 1.05GB data for 7 days (0.15GB per day). However, the Rs 49 pack is valid only for Jio Phone users. It also comes with unlimited free voice calls, 70 SMS and a complimentary subscription to Jio apps. Apparently, Airtel does not come with a bag of unlimited calling, SMS or other benefits.

Airtel prepaid users can avail the Rs. 49 plan offer by opening the My Airtel app or go to the company’s website. The new pack is available under the Data section. Here, prepaid subscribers can check if they are eligible for the offer. If you aren’t eligible, it will show only 1GB of 4G data. When it comes to offers close to Airtel’s Rs. 49 plan. Customers should check the availability of the plan for their numbers before recharge.

Airtel has one more plan for users who have more calling then data usage. Rs. 93 plan for unlimited voice calling, where users will get unlimited calling for 28 days in just Rs 93. Alongside, customers will get 1 GB internet data. This is plan is for the users, who have more calling then data usage.

Airtel is also offering LIVE streaming of IPL 2018 for free via Hotstar during the IPL season. Airtel has also rolled out a new version of the Airtel TV app, which offers a dedicated cricket section, along with ‘all the LIVE action’.
