How would it be to have a nation expect you to follow your dad’s footsteps and emulate his enormous feats over the years? That is just a page in Arjun Tendulkar’s life with cameras and privy eyes constantly following him as he makes his baby steps in the Mumbai school circuit. For the uninformed, Arjun, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son is 15-years-old and studies at the Dirubhai Ambani International school in Mumbai.
The teenager’s form at school level has been a bit of a hit and a miss. He was in the news a few months back though, when he smashed 118 in 42 balls in a match. A regular user of Marylebourne Cricket Club (MCC)’s facilities, Arjun was spotted bowling to the England bowlers a day before the 2nd Test at Lords. England thumped Australia by 169 runs in the first Test at Cardiff. Arjun also bowls left-arm pace and even bowling legend Wasim Akram gave him tips about bowling a few months back. While Arjun is no Mitchell Johnson or Starc yet, he shook hands and had a brief chat with many of the English players. Watch video below:
