As he Continued to inspire people across the world, former US President Barack Obama talked about the real meaning of masculinity, being wealthy and importance of self-confidence. The globally respected leader was speaking alongside Golden State Warriors basketball player Stephen Curry at MBK Rising! My Brother’s Keeper Alliance Summit in Oakland, California, on February 19 when he addressed a set of audience.

In fact, he received thunderous applause at the very beginning of his conversation the moment he introduced himself as ‘Michelle’s husband’, thereby, indicating that he was there to diminish the boundaries of gender discrimination.

He said, “We live in a culture where our worth is measured by how much money we have and how famous we are. I will tell you, at the end of the day, the thing that will give you confidence is not that. I know a lot of rich people that are all messed up.”

He added, “All of us have to recognize that being a man is first and foremost being a good human. That means being responsible, working hard, being kind, respectful, compassionate.”

Barack also talked about how a man doesn’t need the presence of many women around him if he’s confident about his sexuality. Barack was quoted saying, “If you are really confident about your financial situation, you’re probably not going to be wearing an 8-pound chain around your neck. If you’re very confident about your sexuality, you don’t have to have eight women around you twerking.”

Michelle’s husband went on to say that working for other people gave him the kind of peace he was searching for in his life; that’s where he extracted his confidence. He said. “I think I started to grow up when I stopped thinking about myself, and I started thinking about how I can be useful to other people. “The amazing thing is: when you help somebody, and you see that positive impact on somebody, that gives you confidence.”

Well, how can you not be all ears when Barack Obama is speaking!
