Guinness World Records generally have some really cool records but sometimes we come across some really bizarre, strange, weird and shocking records. One such record was made by an Indian man from Mumbai. Mumbai resident Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya made a Guinness World Record of drinking an entire bottle of tomato ketchup with a straw in a record time of 25.37 seconds. The official YouTube channel of Guinness World Records has posted a video of Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya achieving this bizarre feat.
Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya had to swallow 95% of the ketchup from a 396 g bottle of tomato sauce with a drinking straw in order to qualify for the record. According to the rules set by Guinness World Records, squeezy bottles were not allowed in the competition. The video uploaded on the YouTube channel might bring some people to throw up and does not make a very delectable watch. However, nevertheless, it is a record that needs some real nerve to accomplish as swallowing an entire bottle of ketchup will really wreak havoc on your taste buds. Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya’s Guinness World Record attempt might make even a ketchup-lover cringe but he sure deserves applause for achieving this feat. The video was uploaded on YouTube on February 9, 2018, and has gone viral since then fetching a cool 287,860 views and already been liked over 3,000 times. It seems this is not the first record that Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya holds. He has taken on several equally bizarre and somewhat grimace-inducing food challenges to create a record. Previously to drinking the bottle of ketchup, he has created a record of stuffing 88 grapes in his mouth at once and gobbling down 269.6 g of peanut butter in 60 seconds.
