Reporters generally have to give their media reports from the scene of the occurrence and often find themselves in tricky circumstances on which they have no control. However, one reporter must have never imagined that what he was reporting would actually happen in that same instance as a proof of authenticity. Tom Regan, a journalist for WSB-TV was reporting live from Midtown Atlanta over safe driving in icy conditions when a car spins out of control on the road right behind him. Parts of United States are experiencing extremely cold weather and a number of car crashes have been reported in North Carolina and Atlanta. Tom Regan said, “I saw a number of spin-outs on 400, but drivers seem to be taking it carefully” as the car crashed right behind him. A state of emergency has been declared in 83 counties by the governor of Georgia due to a winter storm moving through the southeast. The list of the 83 counties extends from Columbus to Macon to Augusta and northward. This year the Northern Hemisphere is facing extreme cold in various parts of the world. Only recently Oymyakon, the world’s coldest village in Siberia recorded a temperature of minus 62°C which froze people’s eyelashes. Even penguins in Calgary Zoo in Canada are being put inside shelters to protect them from chilly winds and harsh cold temperature.
