Coca-Cola is once again highlighting diversity, this time in their latest 2018 Super Bowl ad. The recent one is a one-minute ad called ‘The Wonder of Us’ shows people of different races, ethnicities, and sexualities being in harmony with each other while drinking coke together. The ad says “there is a coke for everyone” showcasing people who look different from each other. The ad was shot at various places in Mexico. Coca-Cola has always embraced ethnicities in their ads. The poem recited in the background says, “There’s a Coke for we and us, and there’s a Coke for you.”
Talking about the new ad, Adweek quoted Jennifer Healan, group director, integrated marketing content for Coca-Cola North America as saying, “The poem is something we’ve really fallen in love with, and seeing the words themselves, not only hearing them but seeing them, was the right combination.”

It further goes, “To act the same would be mundane— what a boring thing to do’ and ‘We all have different looks and loves, but there’s a Coke for we and us, and there’s a Coke for you.” From their iconic ‘Hilltop’ ad, ‘It’s Beautiful’ to ‘America the Beautiful’, they have delivered messages on diversity and inclusion. This is their 12th consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Coca-Cola will be airing the ad during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl on Sunday when the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
