In the wake of rising incidents of sexual abuse in the nation, especially of women, here is a video which asks you to stand up and raise your voice against the issue. Based on the real-life story of the December 16 Nirbhaya gang-rape case in Delhi, this short film by Pocket Films creatively portrays the ignorant world people are trapped in. Data shows the number of rapes, molestation and child sexual abuse are rising and society is not getting a concrete solution to it. Every time a case of a woman being raped is reported, the buzz remains for a while after which the issue goes down the carpet, and new issues creep in.
The nation cribs about rapes and abuse and says the government is not implementing regulatory measures to handle them. But how many of us go ahead and stop sexual abuse from happening? Most people fear the after-effects of meddling with such problems and hence stay away from them. But what if our interference can stop a rape?
