Some images which create optical illusions go super viral and divide the internet. In the year 2015, “the dress” led internet into a meltdown as people kept guessing whether it was white-gold or blue-black. Now another similar debate has started on the net. A selfie of a girl has led a debate whether the image shows one or two legs. A model Marisol Villanueva, who goes by the name Rose on Twitter shared two pictures of herself in track pants and sweatshirt. She shared the same to showcase an amazing combination of vertical and horizontal stripes that she tried. “Yea, I just combined vertical and horizontal stripes,” she tweeted along with the pictures. But instead of commenting on her fashion sense people started a debate whether the picture showed one or two legs. The stripe of the pant created such an illusion that many thought it was a gap between her legs and the same led to another conclusion that she is extremely thin.
The optical illusion has freaked out many and left Twitterati very confused. “At first I felt a little scared because I didn’t notice the optical illusion so wasn’t expecting it at all, and the idea of such a big amount of people seeing a picture of me was crazy,” she told Femail. “I also didn’t know how the people who know me in real life would react. But almost everyone’s being nice and I’m glad that I made a lot of people laugh!”
Here are some of the Twitter reactions:
This is not the first time optical illusion left netizens baffled. Last year, a picture of girl’s arm in a group picture confused many and Ravichandran Ashwin’s picture too went viral when it posed an optical illusion.
