While the fans of the American fantasy drama television series, Game of Thrones are eagerly waiting for the final season of the show, a news for the Indian followers of GOT might lit up their face. As we all know, there is a huge fan base of GOT in India, it will be great to see a desi version of the show. Yes, you read it right. A desi version of the world’s most-watched show, Game of Thrones is getting a Hindi remake, spearheaded by the ‘Khaleesi’ of Indian Television Ekta Kapoor for her web channel Alt Balaji.

TV czarina Ekta Kapoor has recently created a buzz about adapting the Bollywood star-studded family affair, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in a television show format, and now she is all set to spread her wings all over by bringing a desi version of Game of Thrones, that will make fans drool. “Though not an official adaption, the project will have the feel and look of the medieval drama”, a source was quoted as saying to the portal.

The source further revealed that the series will have a heavy dose of sex in it and if things go as planned, the series will go on floors by this month (May). Talking about the plot, it is hard to say if the plot of the series would be same or there would be any twists. This will only be known by the audience once the show starts streaming.

The original series, which is all set to return with its last season by 2019, is an adventure-drama. Game of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage to name a few. The series is being followed by a zillion of people, worldwide and it will be interesting to see who will reprise the roles of these iconic characters in Balaji’s head honcho Ekta Kapoor’s desi GOT.
