Angelina Jolie was joined by her son Pax Thien at the 75th Golden Globes award. The actress cum humanitarian proudly posed on the red carpet at Sunday’s event in Beverly Hills, California with her 14-year-old son. Angeline donned black flowy gown with sheer neckline and looked gorgeous. Pax matched up his mother in a black tuxedo. Loung Ung, the author who wrote the novel the movie was based on also joined them on the red carpet. Jolie’s latest movie, First They Killed My Father, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film. Jolie presented the show as well as Jennifer Aniston, who was previously married to Brad Pitt.
Reportedly, Aniston skipped the red carpet and directly made her appearance on stage along with Carol Burnett to present the award for Best Performance by an actress in TV series- Musical or comedy. Jolie and Aniston rarely attend same events but this time both were asked to present the show. There will always be fewer chances to see them seated near to one another as Jenny Cooney who is in charge of seating plan for Golden Globes revealed that she consider personal circumstances when planning who will share a table at the event.
“There have been years where major stars may be together for the first time since a high-profile split and we go to great lengths to put them on opposite sides of the ballroom,” Cooney told Vogue. “It was always stressful to have Jennifer Aniston in the same room with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and this year we were wondering if Brad Pitt showed up, how that would be received by Angelina Jolie. It’s good for the audience but maybe not for the exes.’ she added. Many of female stars this year committed to wearing black for the evening to support Time’s Up campaign. This year’s Golden Globes was considered as a huge opportunity for Hollywood to speak up against the sexual harassment prevailing in the industry.
