Gujarat’s 16-year-old girl named Nilanshi Patel is the real-life Rapunzel of India. She has earned the Guinness World Record for the longest hair on a teenager. Her hair is five feet and seven inches long. Wondering how she was able to grow her hair so long? Well, 10-years-ago, the teen decided to not cut her hair after having a bad haircut. Since then, she has not cut her hair.

Talking about her experience, she explained to Guinness World Records and said, “I got my hair cut, a really bad haircut. So, then I decided that I won’t cut my hair. I decided that when I was six and have not cut it since.”

She further spoke about maintaining her hair and said, “I wash my hair once in a week. My mother helps me to braid and to comb my hair.”

“People think that I face so many problems with my hair, but I don’t face any problems, I do sports and all the things with my hair. It’s a lucky charm for me. I style it is as a long braid or as a bun on the top of my head. When I am going to an occasion, or when I am playing table tennis, I bun my hair on my head so that it is comfortable for me.” She said.

Her friends call her Rapunzel and her parents are supportive of her hairstyle.
