Pushing everyone out of their sets to pick up the beats and jam along in full swing, is the song Mere Gully Mein from the upcoming movie Gully Boy. Lead actor Ranveer Singh dropped the song yesterday morning and while people are listening to it on loop, Bollywood choreographer Bosco Martis took to his Instagram account to tap in the hype and gave a sneak peek into the filming of the song.
In the video that he shared, the entire crew of the film is seen jamming on the sets of Gully Boy but our show-stealer is hands down Ranveer who, even though it is not the final shot, is seen high on energy as the choreographers dictate him the steps here and there. Sharing the “ek number” video, Bosco captioned it, “Jamming just before the shot! Funtimes @zoieakhtar @ranveersingh @siddhantchaturvedi @faroutakhtar @ritesh_sid @aliaabhatt @caesar2373 @thegulnaazkhan @auggypereira @vijay73872235 @iamteenaparadkar @ankan_sen7 @sahil_m_khan7official @alisha__behura” (sic).
For the fans, who just can’t get enough of their favourite star, even this video went ragging on the Internet as they saw Ranveer pro-actively take all the reigns of rapping, dancing and acting in his talented hands.
Composed by Divine, Naezy and Sez, with Ranveer, Divine and Naezy crooning effortlessly to it, the lyrics too have been penned down by the talented duo – Divine and Naezy. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the 2.56 minutes of the song has become an unstoppable rage among fans. The movie is about an aspiring rapper from a ghetto in Bombay, and it was inspired by real-life hip hop artists, the struggles and work of Naezy and Divine, both of whom have been closely associated with the project. Starring Alia Bhatt, Vijay Raaz, Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Verma, apart from Ranveer and Siddhant, Gully Boy is slated to hit cinema screens on February 14.
