The 90’s kid has been the fan of Harry Potter series and each one of us wished that one day even we will get a letter from Hogwarts and will go through nine three by four platform. A wizardly wand was all we used to fantasize about.  Now, to again live up the Harry Potter days, the first time in more than five years, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game has come out to fulfill our childhood fantasies.

The game is already available on Android and iOS devices and players can create their own characters and pass through the seven years of rigorous yet mystical Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The players can choose their preferred House, Survive potions class with professor Snape, transfigure themselves in professor McGonagall class and even get engaged with other students, unravel the in-game mysteries and reveal the sinister secrets of Hogwarts.

The game looks spot-on with decent music, sound effects and cartoonish art style characters and the interesting part of the game is that Maggie Smith (McGonagall), Warwick Davis (Flitwick) and Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) have given voice to their characters in the game.

The story is set in the 1980’s when the ‘The Boy Who Lived ‘enrolled in the school and the player will also see characters such as Professor Dumbledore, Professor Snape, Hagrid, Ron Weasley’s older brother, George and many more during the course of the game.

A leading international daily spoke to the Matt London, a senior narrative designer at Jam City and said, “You’ll see characters like Professor Dumbledore, Professor Snape, Hagrid, and many more, who’ll appear and interact with the player character, during the game. In addition, there are a bunch of new characters as well, that we’re introducing.”

“This script that we’re working on, is fast approaching 200,000 words and growing, which is longer than the novels. It’s not a game that you’re going to want to sit down and play for 12 hours straight. That’s not the way it’s designed. We want players to feel like they have Hogwarts in their pocket all the time, and so, it’s a game that I hope players will play for months, if not for years.”

The gameplay of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is easy to play along. The player moves forward by navigating and interacting with the surrounding and when you enter into Hogwarts proper or down in Diagon Alley when it involves little more than taps and swipes of the screen.
