Few weeks backs a photograph of Kashmiri militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was doing rounds on the internet. The militants had posted the photograph on the social networking site Facebook that sent alarm bells ringing in the security departments in Jammu and Kashmir. Now the same bunch of militants, nearly 11 in number, have uploaded a video on Facebook.
Shot by cellphone, the video sees these militants holding weapons and donning an army like uniform. It is believed that these militants have recently joined Hizbul Mujahideen group. One of the militant in the video is identified as Naseer, an ex-constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who ran away with two AK-47 rifles while on guard duty with Altaf Bukhari, a Minister in the Mufti Sayeed-headed PDP-BJP government. Also present in the video is Burhan Wani, a resident of Tral, recognised as the young face of Hizbul Mujahideen in the Valley.
The location of the video is not known. However, it seems that the video is shot somewhere in orchards of Shopian or Pulwama districts of South Kashmir- areas that are known to be the hub for recruitment of youths into militant outfits. With annual Amarnath pilgrimage currently on the photograph and now the video is bound to raise woes of security agencies.
