Is your Facebook post more important than your life? This AT&T ad asks the question

Are you constantly checking your Facebook or Twitter while driving or on your bike? Do you think your life is more important than your need to update your Facebook status? If so, you must watch this new ad film, made by telecom major AT& T. This video shows how an individual’s perfectly normal day with the family can be ruined simply with a stupid gesture of peeking into their phones while driving. There can be a fatal accident!

In a video titled Close to Home | It Can Wait, AT&T – although a phone company – pushes the idea that it is not safe to look at your phones, answer calls or SMS, or update social media statuses while driving. The video says, “In Close to Home, we are introduced to six characters on a perfectly average day. Their lives are then irrevocably changed by the devastating consequences of a seemingly innocent glance at a phone while driving. No post is worth a life. It Can Wait.”

Yes, you could lose your life and also take the lives of your loved ones or friends with you. Is it worth it? Watch this video, but please, not while you’re driving!
