January was all about the Raees – Kaabil war on the box office. Many articles and speculations were floating around about Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan’s alleged rivalry and tiff with each other. We have already crossed first week of February and this month also has some great movies lined up. Bollywood off late has come up with interesting story lines and exceptional performances. The box office is no longer the domain of only the big and powerful but lesser known actors and small movies have also started raking in the moolah. From Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 to Tapsee Pannu’s RunningShaadi.com to Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s Rangoon, February is looking better than January with its lineup of movies. 1. Jolly LLB 2 – February 10, 2017


Inspired by true events this Akshay Kumar starrer is the sequel to Jolly LLB that had Arshad Warsi playing the title role. Jolly LLB 2 also stars Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles. The trailer of the movie has already become a hit and the movie is being eagerly awaited. Watch this movie for a Akshay Kumar’s effortless comic timing and the crackling court scenes between Annu Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Akshay Kumar that will definitely be the show stealer. 2. Runningshaadi.com – February 17, 2017


After doing an intense role in PINK and receiving rave reviews for her performance Tapsee Pannu once again will be seen in this Shoojit Sircar directed romantic-comedy. She is joined by Amit Sadh and Arsh Bajwa. RunningShaadi.com explores the unique concept of helping people run away with their beloved to get married. The film’s trailer is quirky and funny and coming from the stable of Shoojit Sircar who previously directed the runaway comedy ‘Vicky Donor’ we’re sure this is going to be one hell of a watch.

3. The Ghazi Attack – February 17, 2017


Tapsee Pannu has another movie up her sleeve which would be releasing on the same date. The phrase ‘competing with oneself’ is quite literal here. The Ghazi Attack stars Rana Daggubati ,Taapsee Pannu , Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni. Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice as the narrator. The movie is inspired by true events from the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The story revolves around an executive naval officer of the Indian Submarine S-21 and his team who remains underwater for 18 days and destroyed the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi which ventured into Indian waters to destroy the INS Vikrant.

4. Irada – February 17, 2017


Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya duo Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah team up once again in this thriller. The movie’s plot looks very promising and Arshad Warsi’s funny one-liners and Naseeruddin Shah’s shayaris are the highlight of the trailer. Will they be able to recreate the magic of their previous outings, it remains to be seen. 5. Wedding Anniversary – February 17, 2017


Wedding Anniversary stars Nana Patekar and Mahie Gill in the lead roles. The film is directed by Sudhanshu Jha. The movie revolves around a couple (played by Priyanshu Chatterjee and Mahie Gill) who plan to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Goa. Nana Patekar plays an old writer who barges into Mahie Gill’s room late at night. Eventually, Mahie Gill becomes an inspiration for Nana Patekar. The trailer of the movie looks like a psychological thriller and gives you the chills.

6. Rangoon – February 24, 2017


Rangoon has blockbuster written all over. The movie has an impressive star cast and an equal able director at the helm. The movie stars Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles and is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The project is a period film set during World War II and supposedly portrays the life of Mary Ann Evans or Fearless Nadia as she was popularly called. Fearless Nadia is credited as Bollywood’s first stuntwoman and is still remembered for her fiery role in the film Hunterwali. Kangana Ranaut essays the role of Miss Julia and her oh-so-hot chemistry with both Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan is the talk of the town.
