It’s Karva Chauth today! This festival is one of the most significant event celebrated mainly by women in North India. Many celebrities from the industry get ready for their husband and keep fast for them. Last year, Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor hosted a Karva Chauth Bash in which Late Sridevi, Shilpa Shetty and other family members grouped together for the celebration.

Like every year, perhaps, this year too, the ladies will gather at Sunita Kapoor’s residence and celebrate the festival. And we will be waiting for the actresses to upload and share it on social media. But amidst all the fun, frolic, celebration, it is surely going to be an emotional moment for the Kapoor khandan as this year Sridevi ji will not be part of the Karva Chauth celebrations.

While speaking to TOI, Sridevi once said in an interview, “I have been celebrating Karva Chauth for almost 20 years. Earlier, we would go to my mother-in-law’s place, but after my father-in-law passed away, we have been going to Anil Kapoor’s house”. Talking about her sarees, she said, “I dress up for the occasion by wearing bright colours and heavy jewellery. I almost dress like a bride. It feels good to pray for your husband”.

For all the Sridevi fans, we bring you a list of Karva Chauth pictures and videos of Sridevi celebrating the festival with all the ladies.

Sridevi died due to accidental drowning in Dubai in February 2018. Her sudden death left the entire Kapoor family, her dear kids and husband and her legion of fans, in a state of grief and despair. Her family is still trying to come to terms with this irreparable loss, but not a day goes by that they do not miss her presence in their lives.

We miss you Sridevi ji.
