Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted its second episode on Friday, KBC Karamveer. In the special episode, the show hosted Neel Ghose from the organisation Robin Hood Army along with Bollywood actress Kajol. Robin Hood Army is an organisation that collects excess food from the restaurants and gives it to the less fortunate citizens. Neel Ghose along with Kajol won Rs 6,40,000.

Neel Ghose even said at the beginning of the episode that whatever amount he would be winning, he will donate it to India’s largest NGO, Akshaya Patra Foundation. The organisation aims to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government and government-aided schools across the country. It also focuses on countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.

What is Robin Hood Army all about?

The team of Robin Hood Army has been focusing on reaching out to more cities and using food as a medium to bring out the best in the humanity. The volunteers also teach children, organise cataract operation for senior citizens and also play an important part in flood relief by helping people and saving lives.

Neel Ghose started the Robin Hood Army on the streets of Delhi in 2014. He was inspired by Re-Food program in Portugal. The organisation is a zero-funds volunteer organisation which serves food to the poor.

KBC is an Indian adaptation of British show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? In the latest season, the show is celebrating the spirit of resilience. Though the format of Kaun Banega Crorepati 10 remains the same, there are a few changes this time around. For example, the questions are going to be difficult. For the first on an Indian reality TV show, the latest technology is being used. In lifelines, the audio call has been replaced with video conferencing.

KBC 2018 can be played by contestants aged above 12 years. The participants should not be a history-sheeter or have criminal records. The contestants should not have a past history of blood pressure or any heart-related ailments. KBC 10 will have 30 episodes.
