The highly anticipated first trailer of new age royal story Khoobsurat is finally out! And with this trailer you get an insight of the princely world and how a completely mis-fit becomes a part of it. We meet Dr. Milli Chakravarty played by Sonam Kapoor and are totally awed by the fact she plays a physiotherapist in the movie! She has been called by Nirmala Devi Rathore played by Ratna Pathak Shah, who will surely remind you of her character of Maya Sarabhai when she mouths the dialogue, “woh antique hai”! So Milli arrives to Rajasthan to treat the paraplegic Shekhar Rathore, Raja of Sambalgarh and begins the fun ride!

In this modern age romantic comedy, the fun loving, restless and wacky Sonam who has been brought up believing in fairy-tale love stories meets her Prince Charming, Vikram Singh Rathore played by Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. But the young and handsome Prince of Sambalgarh is a complete opposite, with serious and mature personality. Fawad resembles true royalty and his controlled diction is apt as the regal heir, though Milli does not look very convinced by him being a Prince!

We also come across Sonam’s confidant – Manju, who is her ever supporting and equally loud mother played by Kirron Kher. With the first trailer we are sure there is going to Mummy wars in form of Nirmala Devi Rathore’s royalty vs Manju’s middle class!

One more thing that is very catchy in Shashanka Ghosh directed by Khoobsurat is its music and those quirky lyrics “Engine ki sitti mein maaro BUM dole”. Weird but we are not complaining. The movie is all set to release on September 19, 2014 but for now enjoy the trailer.
